DECRA is a stone coated steel roofing option for both residential and commercial installation. The DECRA product line has been around for over 50 years. The origins of the product can be traced back to WWII, in the reconstruction of metal buildings that had been destroyed. Decraspray Co. of Kent, England came up with a coal emulsion coating to bond crushed stone with metal panels. This idea was the catalyst for what is now DECRA stone coated steel roofs. Today, the DECRA line offers six different styles of roofs: tile, villa tile, shake, shake XD, shingle, and shingle plus. Many of the styles look like traditional roofing styles, but have the added benefits of metal.

A DECRA roof also does not exaggerate temperature extremes; rather, many owners report lower energy expenses. DECRA can be installed over an existing roof, in some cases, creating even more insulation.
The DECRA metal roof system offers the best warranty in the industry with its 50 year limited warranty. This covers hail, winds up to 120 mph, manufacturing defects, such as excessive granule loss. Material and labor are covered under the warranty for the first 20 years; after that, materials are covered under the remaining period.
